31 Ogos datang lagi. Alhamdulillah dipanjangkan usia, negara aman tenteram, cuma...kos sara hidup meningkat saban hari.

CHANGE IN CAREER
I've been a teacher since 1991. Though not a profession of my choice, I have grown to love being a teacher. It never crossed my mind that I would one day even consider to stop being a teacher.
But of late I have been contemplating of doing something else. Not that I don't like teaching anymore, but I feel that I have not been able to function as a teacher effectively.
I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis for a few years. Lately, it seems to be getting worse. I practically hobble when I walk. At times it gets too painful to even stand, let alone walk.
Teaching 5 classes of English Language means having to walk from one class to another. The classes that I teach are on differents floor as well as at different blocks.
Once in class I can't very well sit as I teach. Then, as my students carry out whatever task given to them, I still can't sit and rest my aching feet. I still have to walk around the class and monitor as well as guide my students.
Lately, I've not been able to assist my students much for my aching feet can get quite unbearable. So, I feel that I should consider another profession.
I've been contemplating on getting a job at KPM. I've contacted my ex-teacher who is now a deputy director in one of the department. I hope that the outcome would somewhat be favourable, God willing.

BANKING FRAUD
Today I finally managed to accompany my daughter to Bank Negara to submit her complaint form.
Its been seven months since she told me about her money being "missing" from her bank account. She had noticed it a few months earlier but thought that she could be mistaken. But when her money "disappeared" yet again, then she decided to tell me.
One Friday afternoon, my husband and I took our daughter to Maybank Taman Sri Serdang to report about the "missing" money. The officer we met, upon checking on her computer, only informed us,"FTT....cannot do anything." Then she went on blaming my daughter for having revealed or given her account number to strangers!
My husband told her that a police report will be made. She responded that even if a police report is made, nothing can be done since the transaction cannot be traced.
Later on, my daughter submitted a form applying for her bank statement for all transactions from 2007 till the date she submitted the form.
A few days later, my daughter went to collect the statement. She was only given the statement for transactions from Jan 2008. When asked what ahppened to the transactions in 2007, the officer said that my daughter only asked for the transactions from Jan 2008. When I asked to see the form, I saw that my daughter did request for the statement for 2007's transactions. The officer promised to get the statement ready and was to be collected the next day.
But when I got home the officer telephoned saying that the form she showed me did not belong to my daughter but someone else's.
Suspecting that something is not right, I asked a friend who is working at Maybank HQ to find out just what had exactly happened to my daughter's money. According to him, the money from her account has been sent to a bank in Indonesia via Foreign Telegraphic Transfer, using Maybank2u.com from the bank's branch in Taman Sri Serdang!
No wonder when my daughter tried to access her Maybank2u.com, she was not able to, because someone else has already been accessing it using a different pin number.
Feeling somewhat lost, I was mucking about the internet, looking for avenues to channel my grouses. I wrote to various sites including BNMTELELINK. Hey presto! I received a reply.
I urged my husband to take my daughter to BNM to make a report. He took home a complaint form. Finally, this afternoon, I managed to take my daughter to BNM to send the completed form together with the relevant documents.
The officer whom we met was very helpful. He promised to look into the matter immediately and we will be hearing from him after a week.
